Musical setting of the Ode of Remembrance from Laurence Binyon's "For The Fallen".

"They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
  We will remember them."

The four tracks in the "Ode of Remembrance" EP comprise:

Title track

Musical setting of the ode from Laurence Binyon's "For The Fallen".
It is the finale of track 2, the "Hymn of Remembrance".

Hymn of Remembrance

Musical setting of stanzas 2, 4 and 7 from Laurence Binyon's "For The Fallen", stanza 4 being the ode which is recited on Remembrance Day.

Hymn of Remembrance Backing Track

Everything except the words.

New Australian National Anthem (BackingTrack)

Think of this as a Concerto for Didgeridoo and Orchestra.
I prefer writing just music but songs are The Big Thing so I have to ruin stuff with words.

One of my favourite pieces of music is Chabrier's "EspaƱa". Wouldn't it be great if people said "Hey, if Chabrier ever visited Oz, maybe he'd have come up with something like this.". Wouldn't it. . .

The musical idea for the chorus was conceived of as a dance reflecting similarities I noticed in poses of an aboriginal boy in a corroboree and a blond-haired kid on a surfboard.
